Katherine Arnold represents self-insured entities, uninsured employers, and insurance companies in the defense and litigation of workers' compensation matters, including employment cases involving Labor Code 132(a), wrongful termination actions, and serious and willful claims. She has many years of experience handling workers’ compensation matters, has tried over 30 cases before the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and successfully obtained numerous “take nothing” winning decisions.
Katherine is skilled in all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, hearings, conducting trials and depositions of litigants and doctors, and negotiating and securing complex case settlements in high-exposure litigation cases and death claims.
Katherine joined Hinshaw in 2006 and is a proud member of the firm’s Asian and Women affinity network groups.
During law school, Katherine was an extern for the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew, of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. She also served in a series of clerkships with the Preliminary Hearing Unit and Gang Unit at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, where she conducted numerous felony preliminary hearings and argued pretrial motions. She was also an extern in the Civil Pretrial Division at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and participated in the District Attorney Trial Advocacy Program in 2001. In 2000, she was a mediation clinic conciliator at the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution.

Katherine serves as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. She is also a certified yoga instructor and registered with the Yoga Alliance. She is an alumnus of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business organization.
