Maria Quintero to Present at the 2016 Cumis Counsel Seminar
Maria S. Quintero, a San-Francisco based partner in the Insurance Services group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, will be presenting at the 2016 Cumis Counsel Seminar, "Taking in The Sights: New Issues in Nevada Law and an Update on Cumis Counsel in Nevada & California," hosted by the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada (ADC). The seminar will take place on June 24, 2016 from 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm PST.
Ms. Quintero will be joining the Chief Judge of the Nevada Court of Appeals and Nevada counsel as a presenter. She will be speaking at the presentation, "Hiking the New Trail: Cumis Comes to Nevada," that will focus on ramifications of State Farm v. Hansen in the legal and insurance industries and provide important guidance on the basics of Cumis law in both Nevada and California, including when a Cumis right might be triggered, how to handle Cumis counsel requests, the rights and responsibilities following the appointment of Cumis counsel, including professional responsibility and ethical implications raised by Cumis situations.
