Hinshaw Among Most Diverse Law Firms in South Florida

In its annual Diversity Scorecard, the South Florida publication, the Daily Business Review, has included Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP among the "Top 25 most diverse law firms in South Florida." Hinshaw is also ranked among the "Firms with the most women attorneys," and "Firms that report openly gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender attorneys." The Diversity Scorecard was published in a special report included in the Daily Business Journal's January 23 issue.

The special report also includes an article entitled "Formal Steps Need to Be Taken to Acknowledge Unconscious Bias," which was co-authored by Esperanza Segarra, an attorney in Hinshaw's Business Litigation group. Another article in the section, "Lonely at the Top," mentions Cheryl Wilke, a co-leader of one of Hinshaw's Business Transactions departments and partner-in-charge of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, as one of only a handful of female managing partners in South Florida.
