Hinshaw Attorney David Levitt Honored with Distinguished Member Award by Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel
The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partner David Levitt was honored with the Distinguished Member Award by the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) at its Annual Meeting on June 30, 2017. The award was given in recognition of Levitt's long-standing contributions to the organization and its mission.
Levitt has served in a variety of leadership roles at IDC, including as President (2014-2015) and as a board member (2002-2014). He also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the IDC Quarterly, the organization's flagship publication.
The IDC was organized in 1964 and consists primarily of attorneys who devote a substantial portion of their practice to the representation of business, corporate, insurance, professional, and other individual defendants in civil litigation.
Levitt is an experienced trial lawyer, with a primary focus on intellectual property, and also has extensive wide experience in insurance, commercial litigation, products liability and trucking. He received an LL.M from John Marshall Law School, a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Illinois.
