Five Hinshaw Attorneys Recognized as Diversity MBA Top 100 under 50 Diverse Emerging and Executive Leaders for 2018
The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that five attorneys have been selected to the twelfth annual list of Diversity MBA's Top 100 under 50 Diverse Emerging and Executive Leaders for 2018. All award recipients are scheduled to be honored at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago, on September 20, 2018.
D.L. Morriss, the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Partner was named an Executive Leader. Attorneys David Alfini, Maria Marta Calderon, Ofonedu-Ime Goodwyn, and Nicole Gould were named Emerging Leaders.
Diversity MBA is a national leadership organization that integrates diversity and inclusion with talent management. Its annual list of Top 100 under 50 emerging and executive leaders is selected from a broad spectrum of companies with a global reach, and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated "outstanding achievements in community, leadership and education."

Executive Leader
D.L. Morriss
Based in Chicago, Morriss is the current Diversity & Inclusion Partner of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. Not only is he active in advancing diversity and inclusion and maintaining a commercial litigation practice at the firm, but he also uses his platform to advance principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in the broader community. He is a Fellow with Leadership Greater Chicago, a member of The Joffrey Ballet's Board of Directors, and in the Emerging Leaders of The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Morriss has also served with community-based nonprofits, Breakthrough and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boys & Girls Club.
Emerging Leaders
David Alfini
Active in promoting diversity both inside and outside the firm, Chicago-based Partner Alfini is a member of Hinshaw's LGBTQ Affinity Network and co-chair of the firm's Mentoring Committee. He was the firm's Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, Fellow for 2016. David also serves as the StartOut Chicago Program Board Chair. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC).
Maria Marta Calderon
Licensed to practice law in Florida and Buenos Aries, Argentina, Calderon, an associate in the firm's Miami office, serves as the Director of the Argentine American Chamber of Commerce of Florida. Earlier this year, she was also named to the 2018 Fellowship Class of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
Ofonedu-Ime Goodwyn
A member of the firm's commercial transactions and real estate practices, Goodwyn, a Miami-based associate, seeks to give back to the community whenever opportunity arises. In addition to membership in several bar associations, Goodwyn serves on the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida (NHSSF).
Nicole Gould
An attorney in the firm's Miami office and licensed to practice in Florida and California, Gould is an active member of the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Florida and Hinshaw's Women's Affinity Network and Hispanic/Latino Affinity Network. Proficient in Spanish, her work focuses on representation of insurance companies in coverage insurance litigation and disputes and commercial litigation.
