On the Greg & Dan Show: Ambrose McCall Discusses Biometric Privacy and President Biden’s Proposed Vaccine Mandate

Hinshaw's Ambrose McCall recently appeared on the Greg & Dan Show to discuss Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), a comprehensive statutory scheme governing the collection of biometric data by private companies. McCall discussed BIPA’s scope and requirements, along with scenarios in which the statue would or would not apply.

McCall was also asked about employers mandating that their employees get the COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of continued employment. McCall, who addressed that subject in a previous episode of the Greg & Dan Show, explained that President Biden has since announced that he would issue an emergency temporary standard (ETS) mandating COVID-19 vaccination for all federal employees and contractors and for workers at businesses with 100 or more employees. He then discussed some of the nuances of such an ETS.
