Hinshaw Health Care Co-Chair Adam Guetzow Profiled in McKnights Long-Term Care News Podcast and Law360
Hinshaw partner and recently appointed Health Care practice co-chair Adam Guetzow was a guest on the McKnights Long-Term Care News' podcast. He was also profiled in Law360 Pulse.
Guetzow discussed some of the most significant legal and regulatory issues confronting long-term care providers. He said that understaffed regulatory agencies and courts' reconsideration of the use of arbitration agreements were among the top legal and regulatory issues that long-term care providers are currently facing. He offered tips for operators to manage these challenges, including reconsidering their stance on appealing denials of payment for new admission and being conscious of recent case law regarding arbitration agreements.
Guetzow noted in the podcast that in his new role as co-practice group leader of Hinshaw's Health Care practice group, he is making efforts to expand Hinshaw's reach in the aging services industry. Guetzow also discussed his new role in Law360 Pulse, stating that working with aging service industry clients was part of the draw for him to work in the field. He noted that many of the clients are owned by single families or nonprofit boards, who all have "steadfast devotion to wanting to provide the best care that they can for their residents and community members."
