Hinshaw Partner Cheryl Wilke Selected to Serve on Broward County Professionalism and Civility Pilot Program
The national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Cheryl Wilke, partner-in-charge of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, has been selected to serve on Broward County's Professionalism and Civility Magistrate pilot program. The program was established in coordination with the Broward County Circuit Court, the Large Law Firm Committee of the Broward County Bar Association, and ten Broward County law firms, including Hinshaw. It is intended to "promote and better enforce" appropriate levels of professionalism and civility by lawyers appearing before Broward County Circuit Court.
Wilke, who currently serves on the BCBA's Large Law Firm Committee, was one of ten lawyers appointed to serve as a magistrate for the program. Under program guidelines, magistrates will hear cases involving sanction motions and recommend disciplinary actions for civility offenses that fall outside the scope of Florida Bar disciplinary proceedings.
