Hinshaw Selected to Serve on the Industry Advisory Council of the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators
The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to serve as a member of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) of the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR). Hinshaw partner Bonnie Dye was designated to serve as Hinshaw’s IAC representative.
The Industry Advisory Council (IAC) is a group of 25 mortgage industry participants who are chosen to consult, advise, and assist the AARMR Board of Directors on policy matters related to residential mortgage regulation. The AARMR Board of Directors is composed of state regulators who are elected by their peers to serve as the governing body of AARMR. To become a member of the IAC, a member company must be nominated by a state regulator and approved by the AARMR Board of Directors.
A member of Hinshaw’s Consumer Financial Services practice group, Dye advises companies on regulatory compliance issues related to mortgage, auto finance, collections, and consumer lending. She was instrumental in developing and implementing the firm’s recently launched licensing portal, designed to create efficiencies and assist consumer financial services clients with licensing needs in all 50 states. Additionally, Dye is an active member of the American Bar Association, where she is involved in the Business Law Section, Consumer Financial Services Committee, and the Banking Law Committee.
