Fernando C. Rivera-Maissonet Appointed Vice-Chair of the Business Law Section of the Hispanic National Bar Association

Rivera-Maissonet has been appointed to serve as Vice-Chair of the Business Law Section of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). The Business Law Section educates HNBA members in business law and related professional responsibilities, provides updates on legislative and case law developments, and helps members to serve their clients competently, efficiently and professionally.

Established in 1972, the HNBA is an incorporated, not-for-profit, national membership association that represents the interests of over 65,000 Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants, law students, and legal professionals in the United States and its territories.

Rivera-Maissonet has more than a decade of experience actively counseling financial institutions on various legal issues, including litigated foreclosure, declaratory judgment, quiet title and breach of contract actions, and complaints brought by the New York State Department of Financial Services. He received a B.S. from the University of Dayton, and a J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School.
