Hinshaw Announces Todd Young Has Been Named Among Chicago Notable LGBTQ Executives
Partner Honored by "Crain's Chicago Business"
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Todd Young, a transactional partner and member of the firm's Management Committee, has been named a member of the inaugural cohort of Chicago's Notable LGBTQ Executives by Crain's Chicago Business.
Honorees consist of 88 LGBTQ leaders from a wide range of industry sectors, including law, finance, technology, nonprofits, media, the arts and others. In announcing its selections last week, Crain's Chicago Business noted that all leaders chosen "demonstrated they are advancing their industries, workplace equality, and civic engagement in Chicago."
The LGBTQ executive notables live and work in the Chicago area, serve in a senior roles in their organizations (within three levels of their CEO), hold leadership positions in their industries outside their own organizations, have made significant contributions to advancing workplace equality at their own workplaces or beyond, and act as a role models or mentors.

In addition to serving on Hinshaw's Management Committee, Young is also a co-chair of the firm's LGBTQ Affinity Network and a past co-leader and regional director of Hinshaw's Commercial Transactions Practice Group.

Young is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School (J.D.) and Dartmouth (A.B., cum laude). He is a former adjunct professor at Northwestern University Law School (1999-2010) and Seabury Western Theological Seminary (Episcopal) (2000-2004). Young was also Chancellor (Chief Legal Officer) of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago from 2003 through 2016. He joined Hinshaw in 1984. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, loan and financing transactions, and contract negotiation for clients across a broad array of industries and industry sectors. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
