Jason J. Oliveri provides practical legal advice and guidance to businesses on data privacy-related laws, rules, and regulations to help ensure compliance in an increasingly demanding regulatory environment. Jason assists clients, large and small, in understanding impactful laws such as the:
- California Consumer Privacy Act;
- General Data Protection Regulation;
- Personal Information Protection Law; and
- Act on Protection of Personal Information.
Representing the diverse interests of national and state-chartered banks, GSEs, mortgage loan servicers, and collateralized trusts for over a decade, Jason is uniquely positioned to help consumer-facing organizations navigate this exciting space.
Jason also defends business clients in state and federal court against claims of breach of contract, confidentiality, and fiduciary duty, as well as the breach of non-competition and non-solicitation covenants and indemnity obligations. Further, he has advised on matters involving tortious interference, the misappropriation of trade secrets, and violations of state and federal employment laws.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Jason worked as a Special Deputy Attorney General with the Consumer Fraud Prosecution Section of the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.
