Clark Girges handles complex commercial litigation matters, primarily within the arenas of construction and aviation law. Within the construction sector, Clark routinely represents developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals across a diverse range of issues. This includes representation in construction defect litigation matters, delay claims, lien disputes, cost overruns, and negotiations of construction contracts. Clark has represented prominent players in the industry, handling significant construction matters that impact some of South Florida's most noteworthy projects. Within the aviation sector, Clark represents aviation insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage claims, advising insurers on coverage issues and extra-contractual exposure.

Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar, Clark has dedicated his practice to ensuring his clients are well-protected and represented. In addition to handling construction matters, Clark has counseled major corporations and business entities on various legal issues, including cybersecurity, copyright infringement, and professional negligence.

Before joining Hinshaw, Clark honed his skills at Florida's largest full-service civil litigation firm, where he concentrated on construction defect claims.

  • Secured a settlement of $350K when representing an international property restoration company seeking payment in a dispute involving a commercial shopping center.
  • Successfully obtained a default final judgment exceeding $250K on behalf of a contractor and initiated debt collection through asset searches and writs of garnishment.
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of a corporation in a $1.5 million dispute over boat slip dimensions in a condominium development, defeating claims for trespass, nuisance, and property recovery by establishing a covenant running with the land. Secured recovery of fees and costs due to a lapsed proposal for settlement.
