David Cole provides clients with strategic counsel on complex commercial litigation, investigations, and interactions with federal and state regulators. He also advises on compliance, risk management, and litigation prevention, delivering insightful, practical solutions based on a 360-degree perspective gained from prior roles as in-house counsel, outside counsel, and government attorney.

As Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, David handled civil and criminal cases, including health care fraud, consumer protection violations, charitable trust mismanagement, and False Claims Act matters.

David spent more than a decade in various high-level in-house positions in the pharmaceutical, financial services, and education industries. David notably served as head of litigation for a global education corporation, managing a diverse litigation portfolio, including class actions, government investigations, and internal inquiries across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to his litigation experience, David designs and implements compliance programs, conducts risk assessments, and leads a number of internal investigations arising from cross-border conduct in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
