Helen Mosothoane represents clients in the financial services industry. Her practice is focused on defending creditors, mortgage servicers, and lenders in litigation across California and Texas state and federal courts. She handles extensive motion practice, settlement negotiations, and discovery in cases that involve federal and state consumer protection laws. These include the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCCRAA), California Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (Rosenthal FDCPA), and California Homeowner Bill of Rights (HBOR).
As the regional outside counsel for a national bank, Helen managed outside counsel and provided strategic advice on foreclosure lawsuits.
