Vitaly Vilenchik focuses his practice on insurance law, primarily complex coverage issues raised by first-party claims.
He counsels insurers and self-insured entities on developing investigation, claims handling, and litigation strategies to detect, prevent and deter fraud in a variety of contexts. Vitaly also represents insurers in coverage litigation involving regulatory issues, general liability, professional liability, and product recall.
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Vitaly was an associate at a law firm in New York City. He has taken hundreds of examinations under oath and also handled scores of insurance fraud investigations and dozens of fraud litigation matters.

- PV Holding Corp. v AB Quality Health Supply Corp., 189 A.D.3d 645 (NYS Appellate Division, 1st Department, 2020): The appellate division reversed the trial court's decision and upheld an insurer's disclaimer of coverage—explicitly holding for the first time that an insurer's disclaimer of coverage was applicable on a global basis to all claimants and their assignors.
- PV Holding Corp. v. Singh PT, PLLC, 204 A.D.3d 480 (NYS Appellate Division, 1st Department, 2022): The appellate division reversed the decision of the trial court and declared a policy void based on violations of conditions precedent to coverage.
