Gregg Stevens Elected to Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law (CCFL)

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Hinshaw partner Gregg Stevens has been elected to serve on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law (CCFL), effective immediately.

The CCFL’s Governing Committee is responsible for establishing CCFL policies and directing its activities. Hinshaw partners Lauren Campisi and Vaishali Rao also currently serve as members of the CCFL's Governing Committee.

Stevens has contributed articles to the CCFL's Quarterly Report publication, including a recent paper titled "The Evolving Landscape of the Duty to Investigate Legal Disputes Under the FCRA."

The CCFL is a nonprofit organization founded in 1926 by members of the legal profession and the financial services industry to offer educational services, publications, and research on consumer financial services law.

Stevens is a commercial litigator representing financial institutions in consumer financial services disputes and regulatory matters. With prior experience as a Department of Justice tax attorney and in-house counsel at a large bank, he also assists clients in recovering from debt-elimination scams. Stevens is a leader in the consumer and commercial law section of the State Bar of Texas and is actively involved in various professional associations, including the American Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association.
