Andy Thompson concentrates his practice on business and commercial transactions. He assists clients—including large corporations, privately held businesses, and individual landowners—with drafting and negotiating deal documents, performing due diligence, and facilitating smooth closings.
Andy's wide-ranging experience further includes clearing title issues, Torrens matters, lending, and commercial leasing.
His diverse and extensive knowledge stems from a number of educational and professional experiences, beginning in law school, when Andy focused his studies on real estate.
Before joining Hinshaw, Andy gained significant transactional real estate experience as a commercial attorney closer with a title company in Minneapolis and as an associate attorney with a medium-sized Minneapolis law firm.
Andy began his legal career as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Judge Ellen L. Maas, Washington County District Court.
